Sundial. C18, with C19-C20 base. Limestone; brass dial and gnomon.
Circular moulded base carrying bulbous baluster-shaped shaft with foliate
relief carving to lower section and neck splayed out to moulded top. Dial
inscribed with hours, months, compass points, and maker's name: Joseph Cox,
Barbican, London. Stands in centre of flower bed to south of Whitgift Hall
(qv).
