1/45 East View Farmhouse

GV II

Farmhouse. Mid-late C18 with later alterations. Red brick with front of
fine stock brick in Flemish bond with white lime pointing. Stone dressings.
Pantile roof. Double-depth plan with 2-room, central entrance-hall east
front. 2 storeys, 3 bays; symmetrical. Entrance has C20 steps to C19
doorcase with cornice and hood, C20 door in reveal. C19 4-pane sashes in
flush wooden architraves with sills beneath channelled wedge lintels with
fluted keys. Dentilled brick eaves cornice. Hipped roof. Side wall
stacks. Interior. Good open-well geometric staircase with wreathed
handrail, slender column-on-vase balusters with square knops and profiled
cheek-pieces. 6-fielded-panel doors in architraves.
