House. c1700 with earlier rear wing and later alterations. Brick, rendered
to front wing, with some ironstone rubble walling to rear. Brick stacks,
concrete tile roof. L-shaped on plan. 2 storeys, 3 first floor windows.
Central part-glazed C20 door in wooden architrave, flanked by sashes in
flush wooden architraves, with wooden cills. Similar windows above. Cogged
brick eaves cornice. Roof hipped to left, gable end stack to right. Left
return, of ironstone rubble, has 2 first floor casements, steeply-pitched
roof and axial stack, and is the remains of a longer range. Interior has
chamfered beams, one to the rear with cyma stops. House is traditionally
known as 'The Old Hall'.
