Farmhouse and adjoining outbuildings. 1820 for Sir Robert Sheffield with
later C19 and C20 alterations. Coursed ironstone rubble with brick dressings
and stacks; pantile roof. 2 storeys 3 bays; symmetrical. Quoins. Central
panelled door beneath rectangular overlight in c1960s doorcase. 16-pane
sashes beneath keyed stucco cambered arches, the central first floor window
with original red brick surround, others with later replacements. Hipped roof
with end stacks. Range of single storey outbuildings in similar materials
adjoining left side has a sliding sash with glazing bars and a slatted opening
under segmental arches, a round-headed door and a later inserted door under a
timber lintel, all with brick surrounds. Scunthorpe Museum: Sheffield Surveys
