adjoining south-west
corner of The Manor House

GV II


Outbuilding and gateway. Outbuilding C18 with earlier origins; gateway
probably late C19. Coursed chalk rubble to right section of outbuilding,
brick to remainder; pantile roof. Gateway of brick with ashlar dressings.
Outbuilding rectangular on plan, single storey, 3 openings to brick section
on left with rendered plinth, small boarded hatch with ventilation holes,
two 16-pane flush sashes with stucco cambered arches and projecting cills.
Rubble section to right, patched and raised with brick, has blocked door and
window openings. Brick coped and tumbled gable to right, roof hipped to
left. C19 axial stack to left; square wooden dovecote to right with pairs
of doveholes to each side, flat top and iron finial with windvane. Gateway
adjoining to left: single storey height, single bay. Rendered plinth, angle
pilasters; round-headed opening with raised key and imposts, recessed board
door, stone coping.
