House. Early - mid C18 with later C18-C19 rear extension, C19 alterations;
roof rebuilt C20. Red brick in Flemish bond. Concrete tile roof. T-shaped
on plan: 2-room central entrance hall front with rear kitchen extension. 2
storeys, 3 bays; symmetrical. Plinth. Flight of 7 stone steps to Cl9
panelled door in architrave beneath overlight with C20 Gothick-style
glazing; C19 doorcase with pilasters supporting plain entablature, moulded
cornice and hood. 12-pane sliding sashes to cellar under segmental brick
arches. 16-pane ground floor sashes in beaded frames with projecting stucco
cills and painted rubbed brick flat arches with projecting keystones.
Similar first floor sashes with shallower arches. C20 end stacks,
Interior: good open well staircase with boldly-moulded ramped handrail and
column-on-vase-and-bulb balusters with square knops; moulded 6-fielded-panel
doors in architraves; panelled window shutters; elliptically-arched brick
cellars with segmental-arched fireplaces.
