9/84 Threshing barn on west
side of crew-yard
approximately 80 metres
south west of The Old
Threshing barn. Late C18 - early C19. Brick with pantile roof. 2 storeys,
7 bays with opposed central cart entrances. East side, facing yard:
slightly projecting central section with pair of plank doors under timber
lintel, flanked by 3 slit vents to each floor on either side. Stepped
eaves. Brick coped and tumbled gables. Rear: central C20 sliding door with
3 slit vents to left and inserted C19 door to left end under segmental arch,
2 slit vents and later blocked opening to right; 4 first floor pitching
hatches, 3 to left with plank doors and strap hinges, and 4 slit vents.
Slit vents and single pitching hatches to gable ends. Single storey ranges
adjoining to west of no special interest.
