16/20 The Cottage


House. Early - mid C18 with later additions and C20 re-roofing. Coursed
limestone rubble with brick dressings and stacks, colour-washed. Thatched
roof. 2-room central-entrance plan, with later outshuts to right and rear.
Single storey with attic, 2 windows. C20 open porch with pair of timber
posts supporting hipped thatched roof. C20 half-glazed door and plate-glass
sliding sashes beneath segmental brick arches. Pair of raking dormers with
12-pane sliding sashes. Swept roof with decorative ridge capping. End
stacks. Interior contains beamed ceilings.
