20/54 Beechwood Farmhouse

GV II

Farmhouse. Early C19 with later minor alterations. Squared limestone to
front, coursed rubble to sides and rear, with brick dressings and stacks;
colour-washed throughout. Pantile roof. Plan: 3 rooms, with 2-room central
entrance-hall section to right, kitchen to left and later single-room
additions to left and rear. 2 storeys, 4 bays. Quoins, plinth. C20 door
beneath inserted concrete lintel flanked by single sliding sashes with
glazing bars beneath segmental header arches; similar blocked window and
small rectangular opening to left. First floor: blind window panel over
door flanked by single sliding sashes with glazing bars, blind window panel
to left; all beneath segmental header arches. Cogged brick eaves cornice.
Axial stack to left, end stack to right.
