House. C17 origins, probably remodelled in mid-late C18 for Carter Estate;
later additions to rear. Coursed limestone rubble with ashlar dressings,
colour-washed. Brick to stacks and rear wing. Pantile roof. Gothick
style. Plan: 2 rooms with central entrance-hall and later rear wing.
Single storey with attic. 2 windows. Quoins. Half-glazed panelled door
beneath open porch with chamfered square columns carrying chamfered lintel
and projecting gabled first-floor half-dormer with triangular-headed 2-light
casement in chamfered reveal with hood-mould. Similar larger ground-floor
windows with blind cross-shaped arrow slits above. Brick tumbling to gable
on left with stepped brick coping and end stack; roof hipped to right with
