60 metres north of Wood


Screen wall. Early C19 for Duke of St Albans Estate. Squared limestone
with ashlar dressings. Straight wall approximately 80 metres long, 3 metres
high, with coped crenellations. Stands alongside a former road through the
Park, and served as a screen for the grounds of the Hall to the south.
Contemporary with the arcaded screen wall east of The Cloisters (qv).
