Late C19. Included for a room at the south-west corner built from fragments
of mediaeval masonry, eg:-
Chimneypiece, built out of many pieces of moulded cornice, including a dog-tooth
frieze, and surmounted by a (probably C12) corbel head, and flanked by 2 ogee-gabled
and crocketed (probably C15) pinnacles. Cusped niche with ogee head, 2 masks
as label stops and acanthus finial.
Door with moulded 4-centred arch, and nail-head cornice, with 2 grotesque heads
below.
Colonette with stiff-leaf capital, presumably C13.
Mullioned window, apparently C15, with moulded arch inset.
Fragment of quatrefoiled balustrade, glazed, and used as a window, with grotesque
head as one label stop.
Segmental moulded arch, probably C15, to bay, with animal-head label stops.
Straight-headed mullioned window, with cusped 2-centred arched tracery, presumably
C15, hood mould ending in foliage finials, presumably C14. Exterior has top
of a crocketed gablet, with finial (probably C14) at south-west corner.
