7/40 Danthorpe Hall
House. Late C17 with late C18 rear wing and mid C19 cross wing. Red brick,
rendered and pebbledashed, with grey brick dressings and slate roofs.
Original range of 2 stages, 5 bays 2:1:2. Rusticated quoins, plinth. C19
panelled door and gabled porch flanked by 4-pane sashes with sills. Similar
sashes to first floor. Massive rear wall stack to left bay. Left side,
ground floor has a pair of brick panels with raised, square, motifs under
dentilled quarter-round moulded cornice surmounted by brick pediments. A
room to the right of the front door is lined entirely with late C17
panelling with moulded rails and muntins. Early C19 cut-string stair with
scrolled tread-ends, re-used C18 turned and spiral balusters, and moulded
