House. c1760. Probably by Thomas Lightoller for William Constable.
Pinkish-brown brick in English garden wall bond with pantile roof. 2-storey
centre with 2 first-floor windows and single-storey, single-bay ranges to
either side. Centre range. breaks forward slightly and is gabled. To its
centre, a round-arched recess through 1½ storeys containing entrance, a
board door between 4-pane sashes with ashlar sills, all under elliptical
arch. Similar sashes under segmental arches to side ranges.
2-course, first-floor band across full width of facade. Blocked lunette
window within recess. To spandrels are 4-pane sashes under segmental
arches. Centre has 2-course eaves band. Brick copings to gable. Side
stack. Side ranges under lean-to roofs. Disused and somewhat dilapidated
at time of resurvey.
