Church. C14 and C15 origins to tower and north aisle,with considerable restorations of 1855-6 by Mallinson and Healey. Coursed rubble with brick and sandstone ashlar dressings and Welsh slate roof. 3-stage tower, 3-bay nave with south porch and north aisle, lower and narrower 3-bay chancel with north vestry. Tower. Ashlar quoins, chamfered plinth. To west side, first stage a 3-light, pointed Perpendicular window in double-chamfered surround. Second stage has slit windows to west and south. To third stage are.2-light pointed bell openings with reticulated tracery to heads in double-chamfered surrounds, to each side. Splay footed spire. Nave: south porch to first bay has double- chamfered pointed opening under hoodmould. Within a plank door in pointed, chamfered surround. Stone coped gable with ridge cross. South side: 3- light reticulated-traceried windows in pointed, double-chamfered surrounds with continuous sill band. North aisle: buttresses with off-sets between bays and at diagonals. 3-stepped ogeed-trefoil-light windows in 4-centred double-chamfered surrounds. To west end of aisle a straight-headed, 2-cinquefoil-light window under hoodmould. Chancel, south side. Chamfered plinth, buttresses with offsets between bays and clasping east angle. To second bay a pointed plank priest's door in moulded surround under hoodmould with head stops, to right a trefoiled niche for a statue under hoodmould with headstops. Otherwise 2-light windows with reticulated-type tracery in double-chamfered surrounds under hoodmoulds with face stops. North side has vestry to first bay with 2-trefoiled-light, straight-headed window to east end. Otherwise chancel, north side has continuous moulded sill band which continues across buttresses with offsets between bays and clasping east angle. Windows as south side. East end has continuous moulded sill band. 3-light pointed window in double-chamfered surround under hoodmould. Ashlar copings to gable ends and cross to eastern apex. Interior. Double-chamfered, pointed tower arch. North aisle has C19 3-bay double-chamfered pointed arcade on octagonal piers with moulded capitals and bases. Double- chamfered pointed chancel arch on moulded corbels with face stops. C19 octgonal font decorated with quatrefoils.
