Farmhouse, now house. Early-mid C19 with later additions and alterations.
Pinkish-brown brick in Flemish bond with pantile roof. 2-storey, 3-bay
centre with slightly-recessed, single-storey, single-bay wings and range to
rear. Entrance formerly to centre, now plank door to rear. Centre block:
ground floor has 16-pane sashes under cambered heads with stone sills,
including to former entrance. To first floor are 12-pane, unequally-hung
sashes with stone sills. Modillion eaves cornice throughout. Centre has
hipped roof and side stacks, hipped roofs to wings. Interior has plank
doors and exposed rafters to some rooms. Built as a pair with Burton
Cottage (qv).
