GV II

Dovecote. Late C18. Red brick in English garden wall bond, stone slate
roof, lead roof to lantern. Octagonal plan with doors under segmental heads
to sides 1 and 3. Octagonal pyramidal roof crowned by lantern with pigeon-
holes, modillioned cornice, Baroque dome, and fox weathervane. Houghton
Hall is included in the HBMC County Register of Gardens at
Grade II.
