TA 0339 (west side)
No 30
c1700 and later. Stucco, lined and painted. 2 storeys and attic window in
gable end. Pantile roof with tumbled brickwork to gable end. Moulded eaves
cornice. 2 windows and centre break with no 1st floor window, near-flush-frame
sashes with glazing bars. Possibly rewindowed to save tax. Panelled shutters
to ground floor windows. Stone imposts and fluted keystone to arched entrance.
Door of 6 fielded panels below radial bar fanlight. Wainscotted room to left
of front door; raised moulded panelling, moulded dado rail, dentilled box cor-
nice and diagonal chimneybreast with moulded raised overmantel panel. Room
above this has diagonal fireplace with moulded architrave to chimney piece: one
fielded panel above, with moulded mantel shelf above it, another fielded panel
above that, and moulded box cornice. Identical chimneypiece in another first
floor room. Door with four fielded panels and contemporary hinges. Staircase
has closed string, slender turned balusters, plain newels and moulded handrail.
Four-panelled cellar doors, with moulded panel above. Hall has plain panelled
dado; doors with six fielded panels each.
