Late C18, remodelled by J E Elwell for use as part of his premises, 1890. Of three overhanging storeys. Ground floor with shop front with carved mottoes, bracket figures of mythical beasts and stained glass. First floor with seven-light bay window above a range of heraldic shields carved and tinctured. Second floor with two three-light windows separated by one figure within a niche. Two similar but larger figures flank the base of the broad gable which is crowned by an elaborate wrought iron weather vane. Carved staircase by Elwell within. See also Nos 6 and 8.
