C18. Two storeys and attic in painted brick with roof with scallop slates and
pedimented sliding casement dormer. Dentil eaves cornice. Two near flush
frame windows, no glazing bars. Stone lintels as flat arches, with incised
keystones. Ground floor has shop front with wide glazing bars, with 2 entrances
in wood cases with pilasters and entablature. Principal ground floor room
has fielded panelling throughout. Fine chimneypiece with carved architrave,
moulded frieze and cornice. Panelled overmantel with carved architrave,
Arch with keystone, moulded imposts and voussoirs lead through to staircase.
Staircase has open string, no newels, pseudo-cantilevered, balusters turned
in lower part, spiral twisted above, fielded panelling to dado height opposite.
Upstairs rooms wainscotted to dado level, panelled window seats. One fine
late C19 chimneypiece with mantling and ornamental tiles.
