Block at Skirpenbeck
House.

Barn now cowhouse. Late C18. Red brick in English bond, pantiled roof. 2
storeys, 5 bays with 1-storey, l-bay addition at north end forming link to
adjacent stable-block (g.v). Central, boarded door on west side has flat arch
two 1st floor casement windows under flat arches ; 1-storey link on left has
round arched window on left of altered doorway. Clogged eaves, shaped ashlar
kneelers and ashlar gable copings. Right return of barn has paired slit vents;
both gables have simple lozenge vents and decorative iron tie plates. Attached
structures forming covered yard are not of special interest. Included for
group value.
