Statue of Mercury in the water garden approximately 15 metres to east of Burton Agnes Hall

Garden statue. Probably mid C18. Ashlar plinth supporting lead statue.
Plinth, square on plan, with moulded base and cornice, partly re-cut,
surmounted by winged figure of Mercury standing on left leg and holding
caduceus in upheld right hand. The whole approximately 2 metres high. Part
of a group of C18 statues in the gardens.
