Strict Baptist Chapel
GV II

Baptist Chapel. C18, converted in 1787. Timber-framed and clad in weather-
boarding. Plain tiled half-hipped roof. 3 round-headed windows to north,
with glazing bars. Door below to left with wooden porch hood. Interior:
Gallery at south east end with moulded upper rail. Pulpit, probably early
C19, at north-west end has fluted supports to base and round-arched back
panel. Communion table on two bearers with small desk on top, sloping on
four sides for singers. This chapel appears to be a conversion of two
cottages, as some traces of blocked openings are discernable internally.
