House, now two cottages. Late C16 or early C17, with C19 wing and C20 alterations. Timber-framed on painted brick plinth with weatherboarded ground floor and early C20 applied close studding with plaster-infilling on first floor. Sides of brick on ground floor and tile-hung on first floor, as is wing behind to right. Plain tiled half-hipped roof with ridge stack off-centre to right. Half-hipped wing with stack behind ridge. Two storeys. Irregular fenestration of four windows on both floors. Central boarded and ribbed door
on main block (Hamilton Cottage), and board door on right hand wing (The Spotted Dog).
