186O-61 aisled plain Gothic church by H Pownall with west belfry and lower east
chancel. Rubble walling with roof of grey and green slates. South transept in
similar style by R H Gurling, 1888. Wooden rafter roof to nave, separate to
chancel. South aisle has 5-sided baptistery adjoining at south end. Organ loft
in north transept added 1925. Stone pulpit with marble columns and inset
decoration. Later C19 stained glass in windows.
