House. C15 extended early C19. Timber-framed, part exposed panelled frame and
close-studding with plaster infill, part tile hung on 1st floor, with rendered,
painted and exposed red brick on ground floor, and weather boarding to rear right
return. Hall house and cross-wing origin, with later parallel range. Entrance
part (c.1800): 2 storeys and basement, with hipped roof and stacks to end left and
to end right. Regular fenestration of 3 C20 wooden casements on 1st floor, and 2
on ground floor, with central boarded door in hipped porch. Rear wing: 2 storeys
and garret with eaves drop and half-hipped roof and stack cluster to centre
left, with separately roofed hipped 2 storey cross-wing projecting at left. Two
wooden casements on 1st floor, 1 to cross-wing on ground floor and 3 to main
range. Exposed frame to cross-wing and exposed main posts to main range.
Interior: fully exposed frame and inglenook fireplaces.
