II
Keepers Cottage. Mid C19. Sandstone blocks and plain tiled roof. One storey and
garret. Cross plan. Front elevation with projecting gabled wing to centre left,
with narrow steeply pitched gable with pierced and moulded bargeboard with pendant
and finial, and stack to centre. Small C20 dormer to right. Wooden casement on
1st floor of gable, and narrow single lights to ground floor, 1 to left, 2 to
right, and to gable side elevations. Boarded door in gable in four centred arched
doorway. Pierced and moulded bargeboards to end gables, with pendants and
finials, and with hipped bay on right return. Originally part of the Glassenbury
Estate (Glassenbury House in Cranbrook Civil Parish).
