The Old Bricklayers
GV II
House pair. C16 or earlier and C17/C18. Timber framed and tile hung on
rendered ground floor. Plain tiled roof. Probable hall house in origin, now
lobby entry plan of 4 unequal framed bays. Two storeys and attic with half-
hipped roof with gablets and stack to centre left, with 2 hipped dormers. Three
C20 wooden casements on each floor, with boarded door to centre with flat hood
on brackets. Oriel bay to right return. Formerly the Bricklayers Arms Public
House. Right return wing (item 15/283) with central stack and 2 wooden case-
ments on each floor and boarded door to end right, with flat hood on brackets.
