GV II
Gate lodge. Mid C19 altered mid C20. Rendered with plain tiled roof. One storey
and garret, with single gabled block with pierced and moulded boargeboards with
pendanted finial, and paired diamond-set stacks projecting at left and to rear.
Paired arched windows under label hood in gable end, and 3-light mullioned and
transomed window on ground floor with label hood, in shallow projecting bay. Out-
shot to left, part tile hung with wooden casements and gablet dormer. Right
return with small porch outshot, with gable over with moulded bargeboards and
finial, and arched boarded door in moulded arched surround. Single storey hipped
extension to rear. Built as the gate lodge to Elfords (see item 18/314).
