Oak and Ivy Public House

GV II
Public house. C16 or earlier, clad and extended C18-C19. Timber framed and
roughcast with plain tiled roof. Four-framed bay hall house origin. Two storeys
on plinth with roof hipped and with gablets and stacks to centre left and project-
ing and offset at end left and at end right. Three 2-light wooden casements and
3-light to centre right on first floor, and 3 plate glass ground floor windows
(originally 2, 3 and 2-light casements), with half-glazed door to centre left with
pediment-shaped hood. Lower 2-storey wing to rear left with irregular wooden
casements and sash, and plate glass ground floor windows, flat roofed and raking
outshots and end stack.
