House. C16 or earlier, extended and altered. Timber framed and part exposed
to left with red brick infill and to right return with plaster infill,
otherwise clad with red brick on round floor and fish-scale tile hanging on
first floor, with plain tiled roof. Lobby entry plan of 2 parallel ranges
with cross wing. Two storeys and attic on plinth to gabled roof, stepped
down to left. Large stack to centre right with double arched panel, and 2
hipped dormers. Three 3 light leaded mullioned and transomed windows on each floor with 2 light to centre right on first floor and rib and stud door with
flat hood on brackets on ground floor. Right return with leaded mullioned
windows and later wooden casements and rib and stud door in raking outshot
with stack.
Interior: clasped purlin roof. Inglenook set off centre-line in possible
smoke bay (some soot blacking).
