Cottage and Oasthouse. C16 or earlier extended and altered early C19. Timber framed
and exposed large panel and arched and tension braced frame with plaster infill,
extended with weather boarding and red brick kiln. Corrugated iron and plain tiled
roofs. House of four framed bays, probable hall house origin. Two storeys on plinth
with hipped roof and gablet to left and stack to left. Two wooden casements on
first floor, that to right of 5 lights and 3 wooden casements on ground floor, with
boarded door to left. Weather boarded stowage attached to right, also of 2 storeys
on stone plinth with small light and loft door to right on first floor and boarded
door to right on ground floor. Square kiln at end right also on stone base,
buttressed, with pyramidal roof and wooden cowl with winding vane.
