about 25 metres south east
of Kirkins Farmhouse
GV II

Stable block, wall and pump. Early C19. Red brick and plain tiled roof. Single
storey hipped building on plinth with 2 louvred ventilators on ridge. Two doorways
to long side and one to right return, with wooden casement. Projecting to right a
brick wall, at first up to eaves level, then swept down to about 5 feet and canted
along roadside, after which the wall continues some 20 yards or so in a damaged
condition, about 2 feet only in height. Attached to this wall is a hand pump, with
wooden boxed surround and iron handle and grips to enriched spout surround, the
spout itself with chained cover.
