House. 1810 incorporating an earlier, probably C18 building, and with mid C2O
extension. Red brick with reported late frame to rear, with slate roof. Two storeys
and basement with 3 storey rear service section. Plinth, rendered plat band and
paired modillion bracketted eaves to hipped roof with stacks to rear left and to
rear right. Regular fenestration of 3 glazing bar sashes on first floor and 2 on
ground floor with gauged heads and with one extra to right in single storey mid C20
garden extension. Basement opening to left. Central doubled half glazed doors with
Greek Key enrichment to lower panels in panelled suround with Greek Key and fluted
enrichment, traceried semi-circular fanlight and large Doric porch with frieze and
modillioned cornice and flight of 5 steps. Right return with 2 glazing bar sashes
each floor and steps down to basement door. Rear section of 3 storeys with
irregular fenestration of glazing bar sashes and multi-paned segmentally headed
casement to return and rear elevations. Interior: the interior of the rear wing,
although clad at same time as front section, has exposed late frame. Main staircase
with elliptical screen arch to half landing plan with turned balusters and wreathed
rail.
