House. Probably C15 open hall-house with late C16 inserted
chimneystack, altered in C19 and with C20 rear wing. It
appears to be 2/3rds of a Wealden House. Timberframed
building; clad in weatherboarding but right side elevation has
rat trap band brickwork. Steeply pitched renewed tiled roof
with stepped late C16 chimneystack, the right side hipped with
gablet. Left side gable. 1st floor of southern most window bay
oversails on brackets. Remainder of eaves oversails on
brackets. 2 storeys; 4 windows. Casement windows. Interior has
large C18 open fireplace with 2 spice cupboards. Roll moulded
spine beam, the other beams C19 copies. Some C16 panelling and
2 early C17 cupboard doors. 3 octagonal crown posts.
