Pair of estate house. c.1880 by George Devey for the Cranbrook
Estate. Pebbledashed with tiled roof and central brick
chimneystacks. Asymmetrical. 2 storeys 2 windows. Central
chimneystack has round-headed arch with keystone. No 1 has
tile hung gable with fitted bargeboards and brackets. 1st
floor 3-light oriel with triple wooden casement with brackets
below. Ground floor has triple wooden casement. Left side 6
panel flush doorcase with projecting wooden porch on piers. No
2 has 2 storey 7-light square bay with moulded wooden gable
and timber framing with plastered infill; 6 flush panelled
door and tiled penticed hood supported on wooden brackets.
Left side elevation has projecting gable with moulded
bargeboards and 4 wooden brackets. 1 C20 window. Penticed
porch on 4 wooden supports. Right side elevation has
projecting gable on 4 brackets and brick and timber framed
wing to rear. Rear elevation has 2 gables. Left side (to No.
2) is timber-framed, right side (to No 2) is pebbledashed with
penticed tiled roof. Outshut between with tall brick
chimneystack.
