Oasthouses at Maplesden
GV II
Oasthouses. C18 stowage and early C19 oasts. Stowage has
ground floor in Sussex bond with weatherboarded 1st floor and
tiled roof with metal weathervane. Casement windows and wooden
steps to 1st floor level. Projection at front is of 2 storeys
weatherboarded with open ground floor. Attached are 2 circular
brick oasts in Sussex bond with conical tiled roofs, cowls and
fantails.
