Late C14. Part of group comprising Nos 40-44. 3 storeys. Second floor
plastered, first floor painted brick. 1 3-light C18 sash with glazing bars
intact. Mid C19 shopfront. Rear elevation has 2 C18 sashes and a narrow
plain C18 doorcase.

Nos 38 to 44 (consec) and Nos 1 to 9 (consec) Butchery Lane
together with Nos 1 to 8A (consec) and Nos 10 to 16 Mercery Lane
form a group.
