Late C14 timber-framed building, now cement rendered. 3 storeys. Old tiled
roof with 2 dormers. Second floor has 4 C18 sashes with glazing bars intact.
Overhang. First floor has 2 C18 sashes and 1 original window opening, Later
C19 shopfront having modillion cornice over.

Nos 38 to 44 (consec) and Nos 1 to 9 (consec) Butchery Lane
together with Nos 1 to 8A (consec) and Nos 10 to 16 Mercery Lane
form a group.
