Barn. Thought to date from earlier C18. English bond brick walls, with plinth and
stepped eaves. Plain tile hipped roof. Seven bays, centre entry with wide brick
segmental arch at rear and hipped porch in front; ventilator slits; two buttresses
at south end. Interior: King-post roof trusses, similar to that illustrated for plain
tiles in William Salmon, Palladio Londiniensis, 1734; staggered purlins shown on C19
Tithe Plan for Chislet Parish.
