Home farm

GV II

Barn, C17 main-frame possibly re-used with C19 floors and roof structure above
the beam level. Aisled timber framed barn of 3 bays with lias to west faced
with weather-boarding on brick plinth half-hipped corrugated iron roof.
Central hipped outshot cart entrance. Jowled posts, passing braces to aisled
and curved wind braces to wall plate. Main frame in oak, but rafters and
collar purlins in C19 soft wood. C19 floor inserted each side of the cart
entrance. Included as part of a good farm group.
