13.9.74 No. 24 (Pines
House. Late C18, with C17 or earlier portions to rear. Peach coloured
brick, part painted, with plain tiled roof. Three storeys and basement
with parapet with stack to centre left. Two glazing bar sashes and
painted false glazing bar sash to left on 2nd floor, 3 glazing bar
sashes to 1st floor and 2 to ground floor, all with gauged red brick
heads. Door of 6 raised and fielded panels to right, the central panels
glazed, with semi-circular fanlight and moulded pilastered doorcase
with frieze and cornice. Rear ranges incorporate remains of C17
building, or earlier, more extensive remains of which are in No. 22
adjacent (too altered to be listible) of flint and brick, with arched
window opening. Interior: framed partitions, chamfered beam in basement
either re-used or indicate earlier origin; stair with dado rail, turned
principal balusters; drawing room with arched recesses flanking (C20)
