House and shop pair. Mid C19. Stock brick, rendered to No. 80 and painted
to No. 82. Three storeys and basement with parapet and stacks to centre and
to right. Two sashes with vertical glazing bars to left, and 2 replacement
windows to right on 2nd floor, canted bays on 1st floor, with sashes to left,
replacement windows to right. Multi-pane shop fronts on ground floor, with
central recessed glazed double doors to No. 80 and single C20 glazed door to
82; boarded door to left with rectangular fanlight, and glazed door to right,
with basement openings to centre. Fascias on pilasters over both shop fronts.
The survival of early shop fronts renders these buildings of special interest.
