VI memorial
Gates and walls. Circa 1794 and Cl9. Stock brick walls about 7 feet
high on plinth and with buttresses, curving out from the walls of Gate
House, and away from the gates to the perimeter wall of the park, both
stretches about 10-15 metres long. Wrought iron gates hung from capped
piers with iron lamps fixed as finials. Carriage gate, iron pier and
pedestrian gate, with heavily scrolled margins and heart and honey-
suckle pattern main panels. Originally the entrance to East Cliff Lodge
(for history see item 1/231 ).
