Terrace row. 1827-1836. Stucco with slate roof. Two storeys and
basement, with cill band and moulded cornice and parapet to hipped roof
with stacks to centre left and centre right, and end right. No. 20
faces to the left return, (west), and has been refaced; Nos. 21 and 22
face south, each of 3 bays separated by blank window space, that to left
separating Nos. 20 and 21 partly overlain by later stucco work. Seven
glazing bar sashes and 2 blank spaces in all on first floor, with 5
shallow bows on ground, that to left rusticated the rest with fielded
panelled apron. Doors of 6 raised and fielded panels to centre left
and centre right with semi-circular fanlights in moulded impost surrounds,
with 2 steps each. Basement openings below bows. Left return with
rusticated ground floor (returned to main elevation). Three glazing
bar sashes on first floor, 2 sashes on ground floor; basement opening
to right. Central door of 6 panels with semi-circular fanlight and
projecting surround, with 3 steps. Rear elevation with later
alterations, but much flint and brick walling exposed showing underlying
materials. (See Busson, Ramsgate, 109).
