War Memorial. 1920 by Gilbert Bayes. Portland stone. A lifesize nude,
shrouded and holding her head (awakening from the dead?). She sits on a
pedestal placed on a paved platform with a mosaic circle around the base,
with 3 steps down, and backed with a segmental panel inscribed:
The Great War 1914-1918: TO ALL WHO SERVED HONOUR
Signed Gilbert Bayes, 1920, on base of pedestal.
