Pair of houses with shops. Late C18 with later alterations. Red
brick; Kent tile mansard roof with 2 dormers; end stack to right.
2½ storeys; regular 4-window sills. Horned sashes to No 41 (12
and 6 panes to 1st and 2nd floors respectively); No 43 has
casements to 2nd floor and a canted Victorian 1:3:1 oriel with
horned sashes to 1st. Shop fronts: No 41 with some Victorian
work surviving (moulded cornice and console bracket with open
ironwork above); No 43 entirely mid-C20 except for one console
bracket. Some late C18 panelling survives within No 41 (ground
floor).
