House with shops. Mid to late C16, much altered and re-fronted.
Timber framed, the front tile-hung; Kent tile roof with 2 hipped
dormers. Interior too altered to reconstruct plan, but probably
2-rooms deep with rear wing. Front: 2 storeys; regular 2-window
range. Kent tile-hanging with some darker tiles forming
decorative bands. 12-pane hornless sash windows. Late C20 early
Victorian style shop front. Interior: a 4-centred arched timber
doorway with oak-leaf carving to spandrels (not in situ); joists
with roll mouldings - all looks mid to late C16. Ceiling beams
largely replaced with new brick piers.
