House with shop. C19, built in imitation of adjacent Gordon
Hotel (qv Reference 7/129) but set back from it. Red brick with
burnt headers; roof not visible. Front: 3 storeys; regular 2-
window range. Cornice with console brackets connects with the
return of the Gordon Hotel cornice. Upper windows with rubbed
brick flat arches; 2-pane horned plate glass sashes in reveals
throughout. Ground floor, Edwardian or later shop front with
dentilled cornice to fascia; 2 deeply recessed doorways (to shop
and house); plate glass windows with turned angle posts;
pedimented doorcase to shop. Interior not inspected.
