House. First quarter of C18, perhaps incorporating earlier rear
wall. Textured plaster render on brick, Kent tile roof. 2
chamber plan with central staircase. 2 storeys with attics, 3-
window range. 2 ground and 3 first floor flush wooden architrave
surround sashes with glazing bars, 12 panes each. Doorcase of
2 fluted pilasters with bracketted flat pentice, 8 panel raised
and fielded doors. 2 upper panels glazed. 2 hip-roofed dormers,
with fixed swivel casements. Wooden eaves box cornice, partly
replaced. Interior: Good dogleg stairs of c.1714 with hand rail
with snake-neck sweep at angles, 3 balusters per tread, cut
string, continuous to attic with all its details. 2 panel
fielded panelling to both ground floor rooms, 6 panel doors.
Rococo bolection moulded fireplace with c.1820 grate in room to
south, c.1820 fireplace and grate in room to north, boxed out
cornices to both rooms. Both first floor rooms panelled, partly
bolection moulded panel fields in rooms at north.
